"The Rain" hits #4 on top 40
We have been following the climb of "The Rain" (track 2 off MDC) on the CMG/BSM indie radio charts since the start of March and as their final top 40 of the month came out this past Tuesday we were pleased to see "The Rain" had jumped to #4 breaking the top 5 within a month of being on the chart! We are very excited and are greatly appreciative to CMG. THANKS. - CJ (GB)

"The Rain" reaches #6 on top 40
CJ Field's melancholic second track off "Modern Day Cash" entitled "The Rain" reaches #6 on the CMG/BSM radio group's top 40 charts!
"The Rain" had broken into the top 40 debuting at #21 in the beginning of March and has steadily climbed in popularity reaching #6 as of March 20th. The sky is the limit from here, as we really hope more and more people hear it and enjoy it.
According to CJ, the song is his daughter's favorite track on the album and he is convinced SHE should be selecting his singles from now on!
'Modern day Cash' #12 best new album of the year
"Modern Day Cash' - " Too Drunk (to sing along)" selected as #12 on the top 50 BEST ALBUMS OF THE YEAR
Roothog Radio, a Texas-based independant station focused on real country, Americana and XXX music, literally prides itself on the music it chooses to rotate. Their playlists, though ranging in variety, are not limited to strictly typical mainstream country radio songs but certainly do not exclude them. More importantly the music Roothog chooses to play, is authentic, believable, and true. Which means, as country goes the artists are mostly limited to southerners. This being said, it was an honor for a yankee like CJ to get slipped into the rotation.
Recently, they comprised a list of the top 50 best new Albums of the year, where 'Modern Day Cash' was selected as #12!
Roothog highlighted "Too Drunk (to sing along)" in particular to best represent the reason they had selected the Album, though "Ramblin' Women" had originally gotten the best review when the station had originally picked "Modern Day Cash" as their featured album of the week this past summer.
